Check this out: If you drink a single 8-ounce cup of ICE COLD water, your body will burn 7.69 calories just to heat that water up to body temperature.

Ok so when you drink 8 ounces of ice cold water, your body burns roughly 8 calories. If you drank the bare minimum recommended 8 glasses of water a day (for general health) but made sure your water was ice cold…

Wouldn’t this put an increased amount of stress on your kidneys? I mean, I know we’re already supposed to be getting a half-gallon of water in us a day, but a full gallon of (mostly) waste fluid running through your kidneys can’t be helping.

Good question Sean. Actually your kidneys would welcome one gallon of water per day. Your kidneys receive more stress from a lack of water if anything. That much water will especially help your kidneys process protein which you should be eating plenty of if your goal is to lose body fat.
